Terms of Service

Effective June 25, 2026 · Last updated June 25, 2026

Bowl for Belonging (the “Game”) is operated to benefit Communities of Belonging, a nonprofit corporation organized under the laws of the State of Washington and recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (the “Organization”). By creating a player, playing, or making a donation you agree to these Terms.

Prototype notice. This is a demonstration prototype built by ServiceVision. Donations, purchases, prizes, sponsorships, and signatures shown in the Game are simulated: no payment instrument is charged, no funds are collected, and no prizes are awarded through this demo. Production terms will be presented before any real transaction is processed.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create a player. Players under 18 should have a parent or guardian review these Terms. Prizes, where offered in production, may require the winner to be 18+ and a U.S. resident.

2. Your account & email verification

We ask for your first name, last name, and email, and we verify your email with a one-time code. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your access credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your player.

3. Gameplay, leaderboard & prizes

  • Scores are recorded to a community leaderboard. We may moderate, correct, or remove scores we reasonably believe were obtained through error, automation, or abuse.
  • In production, the top three seasonal scores may win prizes described at the time of the promotion. No purchase or donation is necessary to play or to win; donating does not improve your odds or score.
  • Prize promotions will comply with applicable Washington and federal law, including any required official rules.

4. Donations & optional purchases

  • All giving tiers (e.g., “Buy a Frame,” “Rainbow Power Ball,” game passes, alley sponsorship and naming) are voluntary charitable donations to the Organization.
  • Some tiers include a token in-game benefit of nominal value (a cosmetic effect or convenience). See the Donor Disclosure for tax-deductibility and quid-pro-quo information.
  • Recurring options (per-game or monthly) renew only if you opt in, and you may cancel future renewals at any time from your account or by contacting us.
  • Sponsorship and naming benefits are subject to the Organization’s approval and content standards and may be declined or revoked for unlawful, hateful, or off-mission content, consistent with the Organization’s values of belonging.

5. Simulated signatures

When you authorize a gift you “sign” by typing your name. In this prototype the signature is a simulated, tamper-evident record (a cryptographic hash over the transaction details) and is not a legally binding electronic signature under the federal E-SIGN Act or Washington’s Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (RCW 1.80). In production, a compliant e-signature and receipt will be provided.

6. Acceptable use

  • Do not cheat, tamper with scores, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Game or its physics simulation.
  • Do not use the Game for unlawful purposes or to harass others.

7. Intellectual property

The Game, its branding, and content are owned by the Organization and/or ServiceVision. The Communities of Belonging name and logo are used with permission to benefit the Organization. Open-source components are used under their respective licenses.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Game is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organization and ServiceVision are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Game.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Venue for any dispute lies in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.

10. Changes & contact

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions: [email protected].
